The deal between us.
Wingman takes real control of your devices — it shields apps, quits them, and stops sites from loading. That only works if we are both clear about what it does, what it can't promise, and which decisions are yours. This page is that agreement.
The short version
The full detail is below, but if you read nothing else, read this.
- 1Wingman blocks things on purpose. Some blocks are deliberately hard to undo — that is the product working, not breaking. Turn one on expecting to live with it.
- !Never block anything critical. Not your phone, messages, maps, bank, medical, or work tools. You pick what goes on the list, and the consequences of that choice are yours — §5 spells this out.
- 3Wingman is a habit tool, not a safety system. It can be late, wrong, or offline. Never rely on it where health, safety, money, or a legal deadline is at stake.
- 4Free to start. Ultra auto-renews. It bills through Apple on iPhone and Stripe on Mac, and keeps renewing until you cancel on whichever one charged you.
- 5It's for your own devices, and only yours. Wingman is not a tool for watching, restricting, or pressuring somebody else.
1. Agreement to these terms
Wingman Focus ("Wingman", "we", "us") is a screen-time accountability service operated by Warenetic LLC. It has three parts: an iPhone app, a Mac app, and an AI accountability partner you talk to over iMessage. These terms cover all three, plus this website.
By creating an account, texting Wingman, or using any part of the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree to them, don't use Wingman. If you're agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you're confirming you have the authority to do that.
How we handle your data is a separate document: our Privacy Policy. It's part of this agreement, and worth reading — particularly the part about why your iPhone and your Mac are treated differently.
2. Who can use Wingman
- You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian has to agree to these terms on your behalf.
- You must use Wingman on devices you own or personally control.
- You need a working phone number that belongs to you. Your number is how Wingman knows who you are.
Wingman is built for people who are choosing accountability for themselves. It is not a parental-monitoring product and not an employee-monitoring product. It doesn't report your activity to anyone else, and it isn't designed or licensed to be installed on another person's device to watch or restrain them. See §6.
3. Your account
Your phone number is your identity in Wingman. Keep control of it — anyone who controls your number can potentially reach your account. If you give up or change your number, tell us or update it in the app.
- One account per person. Don't create extra accounts to reset limits, dodge a suspension, or claim an introductory price more than once.
- One active device at a time. Setting Wingman up on a new phone releases the claim on the old one.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account, including what you ask Wingman to block and anything done by someone you let use your device.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used abusively, or is required to be closed by law.
4. What Wingman does to your device
This is the section people skip and shouldn't. Wingman is not a reminder app — when you add a target, you are asking software to take real control of your device and hold it against your own later objections. Here is exactly what that means.
You choose the targets. Wingman enforces them.
Every app, category, website, and schedule that Wingman blocks is one you or your agent settings put there. We don't pick them for you, and we can't evaluate whether a given choice is safe for your life.
How enforcement actually works
On iPhone
Screen TimeWingman uses Apple's Screen Time system to shield apps and categories behind a block screen.
- Blocks are applied and lifted by the operating system, on its own schedule
- Some timings are floored by iOS and can't be made shorter
- We can't see which specific apps you shielded
On Mac
Helper daemonWingman installs a helper that runs with system privileges so that a block can't simply be clicked away.
- It can quit or force-quit a blocked app while a block is active
- It edits system network files so blocked sites stop resolving
- Unsaved work in an app that gets quit may be lost
Some blocks are hard to undo on purpose
Hardcore blocks, focus sessions, and scheduled blocks are designed to survive the moment you want to quit — that's the entire point of them. Emergency Exit is deliberately rationed. A block you can't immediately turn off is Wingman working as intended, not a malfunction, and it isn't grounds for a refund.
Timing is not guaranteed
Blocks depend on background scheduling, operating-system limits, push delivery, and a network connection. A block may start late, lift late, fail to start, or fail to lift. Never assume a block has lifted because you asked it to — check before you rely on it. Removing the app may not instantly remove every block; use the removal path inside the app.
By adding a target you accept all of these effects on your device.
5. Never block anything critical
Do not add a critical app, category, or website to any block list.
Wingman does not know — and cannot know — which apps or sites you might urgently need. It will block whatever you tell it to block, at the moment you least want it to, which is precisely what you asked it to do.
If you block something and then can't reach it, that outcome is yours. Warenetic LLC is not responsible for any consequence of a block you chose to apply — including a missed call, message, payment, deadline, appointment, alarm, flight, medication reminder, or emergency contact.
Treat everything in this shape as off-limits when you build a list:
This list is illustrative, not complete. Only you know what's load-bearing in your life.
Keep an unblocked path to help
At all times, keep a way to reach emergency services that Wingman cannot interfere with. If you are in an emergency, do not spend time fighting a block — use another device, or dial emergency services directly. We cannot guarantee that any particular app or capability will remain reachable while a block is active.
Blocking on someone else's behalf
Don't configure blocks on a device another person depends on. If you share a device with family, a partner, or a roommate, a block you set will hit them too — including in an emergency. That's your responsibility, not ours.
6. Acceptable use
Using Wingman, you agree not to:
- Tamper with the blocking system. Don't circumvent, disable, or interfere with the shields, the Mac helper, or the enforcement logic — except where local law gives you a right we can't sign away.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the apps, the helper, or our server code, or try to extract our prompts, keys, or models.
- Use it on someone else. Don't install Wingman on a device you don't own or control, and don't use it to monitor, restrict, coerce, or punish another person.
- Share or resell your account, your subscription, or your access to Ultra features.
- Abuse the AI. Don't use Wingman to generate illegal content, harass anyone, extract credentials or system prompts, or flood it with automated messages.
- Attack the service. No scraping, automated access, load testing, probing, or attempting to reach accounts or data that aren't yours.
- Misrepresent yourself. Don't use a phone number that isn't yours, impersonate anyone, or create accounts to evade a limit, a suspension, or a one-time offer.
- Break the law with it, or use Wingman anywhere its use would be unlawful.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without refund, for any of the above — and we may report conduct to the authorities where the law requires it.
7. Messages from Wingman
Wingman works by texting you. By giving us your phone number you consent to receiving automated messages from Wingman over iMessage or SMS: check-ins, nudges, plan messages, block notices, and occasional account or billing notices.
- These messages are AI-generated. Nobody is reading along and writing them by hand.
- Frequency varies with your settings, your schedule, and what your usage looks like on a given day.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier and plan. That's between you and your carrier.
- You can turn it down or off — adjust your check-in schedule in the app, tell Wingman to stop, or delete your account. Switching messages off changes the product substantially; the accountability partner is most of what Wingman is.
We don't sell your phone number or use it for advertising. See the Privacy Policy.
8. What the AI is and isn't
Wingman is driven by large language models. It reads a summary of your day and decides whether to say something, and sometimes whether to block something. It is a judgment machine, and its judgment is imperfect.
- It can misread your day, nudge at the wrong moment, miss a moment entirely, or block based on a wrong call.
- It can be factually wrong, including about your own history and settings.
- It is not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or professional advice, and it is not a therapist, doctor, or crisis service.
If you are in crisis or need medical or mental-health help, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency service. Don't route anything that needs professional judgment through an accountability bot.
You can reduce or disable interventions in the app at any time.
9. Wingman Ultra & billing
Wingman is free to start. Wingman Ultra is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features. We never receive or store your card details.
Which company charges you depends on where you subscribed, and it matters — cancellations and refunds follow whichever one took your money.
Subscribed on iPhone
AppleBilled by Apple as an in-app purchase, under Apple's Media Services terms.
- Charged to your Apple Account
- Managed in your App Store subscription settings
- We can't cancel or refund it for you
Subscribed on Mac or by text
StripeBilled by us through Stripe, our payment processor.
- Charged to the card you gave Stripe
- Managed from the billing portal — ask Wingman for the link
- We can cancel it for you
Renewal, price, and offers
- The price and billing period shown at purchase are the ones that apply. Prices vary by store and region, so we don't restate them here.
- Ultra renews automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. For Apple purchases, cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends or Apple will charge the next one.
- Introductory and promotional pricing applies once, to the first billing period only, and only to a given person or account. After that it renews at the standard price.
- We may change prices. If we do, we'll tell you before it takes effect on a renewal, so you can cancel first.
- What Ultra includes can change as Wingman develops. We won't remove a headline feature without notice.
A lapsed or failed payment ends Ultra access; your free account and your data stay.
10. Cancellation & refunds
Cancelling
- Apple purchases — cancel in your App Store subscription settings. It's the only place that works.
- Stripe purchases — cancel from the billing portal, or ask Wingman for the manage link and it'll send it to you.
Cancelling stops future charges. Your Ultra access runs to the end of the period you've already paid for; we don't claw it back early.
Refunds
- Apple decides refunds on Apple purchases. Request one through Apple. We have no ability to issue, expedite, or override it.
- For Stripe purchases, contact us. Outside of what the law requires, refunds are at our discretion, and we don't generally refund a period you've already used.
- Your statutory rights as a consumer, where they apply, are unaffected by any of this.
Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Apple keeps billing until you cancel with Apple. If you're leaving, do both.
11. Licence, content & the App Store
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Wingman on devices you own or control, for your own use, under these terms. The apps are licensed, not sold.
Everything that makes up Wingman — the software, the design, the brand, the prompts — stays ours. Nothing here transfers any of it to you.
Your content stays yours. Your messages, plans, targets, and usage data belong to you. You grant us only the licence we need to operate the service for you — storing, processing, and sending your content to the providers described in the Privacy Policy. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely and without obligation.
If you got Wingman from the Apple App Store
- These terms are between you and Warenetic LLC only — not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Wingman or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Wingman.
- If Wingman fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to Wingman, including product liability, failure to conform to a legal requirement, or claims under consumer protection or privacy law.
- Apple is not responsible for investigating or resolving any third-party claim that Wingman infringes intellectual property rights.
- You confirm you're not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and that you're not on any U.S. Government prohibited-party list.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and have the right to enforce them against you.
12. Changes & ending it
Changes to Wingman
Wingman is in active development. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue any part of the service. We'll give notice of significant changes where we reasonably can.
Changes to these terms
These terms will change as the product does. When we make a material change we'll update the date at the top and notify you in the app or over iMessage before it takes effect. Continuing to use Wingman after that means you accept the updated terms. If you don't, stop using Wingman and close your account.
Ending it
You can leave at any time — tell Wingman you want out, or delete your account in the app. Cancel any paid subscription separately, as described in §10. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these terms, abuse, non-payment, or where the law requires it.
When your account ends, Ultra access ends and your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections 5, 13, 14 and 15 survive termination, along with anything else that by its nature should.
13. Disclaimers
Wingman is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment.
We specifically don't warrant that:
- Wingman will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- a block will start, hold, or lift when you expect it to
- a check-in, nudge, or notification will arrive, or arrive on time
- the AI's judgment will be correct, appropriate, or useful
- using Wingman will change your habits, your focus, or your screen time
Wingman is a habit tool. It is not a safety system, a security system, a medical device, or a parental-control system, and it must not be relied on where health, safety, money, or legal obligations are at stake.
Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Warenetic LLC and its members, officers, employees, and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunity — even if we've been advised such damages were possible.
This includes everything that follows from a block.
We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from a block you chose to apply, a block that stayed active longer than you wanted, a block that failed to apply, a block that failed to lift, an intervention Wingman made, an intervention it didn't make, or anything the AI said or decided.
You choose what to block, and you carry the consequences of that choice. See §5.
Where liability can't be excluded, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to Wingman is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50.
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you. These limits are a fundamental part of the agreement between us, and apply even if a limited remedy fails of its essential purpose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You and Warenetic LLC agree that the state and federal courts located in California have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or from Wingman, and each of us consents to that jurisdiction.
If you're a consumer, this doesn't take away the protection of mandatory consumer laws in the country where you live, or your right to bring a claim in your local courts where the law gives you one.
Talk to us first. Before starting anything formal, email us and give us 30 days to sort it out. Most things are a misunderstanding about a block, and we'd rather just fix it.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing something isn't a waiver of our right to enforce it later. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about Wingman.
